The Airshuttle Consortium has been largely based on the success of the Regional Rail Project. Airshuttle Express is led by Peter O’Brien. Peter is a former President of the Victorian and Australian Chambers of Commerce (VECCI and ACCI) and has unparalleled experience in the execution of large scale projects for Victoria, including the the Melbourne Aquarium, the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre and Federation Square to name a few.
The consortium is further made up of large-scale international advisory firms from the technology, finance, engineering, Quantity Surveyors, legal and accounting, and marketing arenas. These include:
- Hitachi Rail;
- Baker & McKenzie;
- Meinhardt Aviation;
- Parsons Brinkerhoff;
- Peddle Thorp Architects (PTA);
- Price Waterhouse Infrastructure;
- Rider Levett Bucknall;
- WSP Structures; and
- Magnum Opus Partners (MOP).
A debt + equity funding package of $1.5B will be arranged locally by Price Waterhouse Coopers. There is strong interest from both Trade Unions and private superannuation funds. This will take place as Treasury studies are undertaken in 2017 and 2018. We are also currently negotiating with global groups as regards funding, with equity participation to do so.
